Martin Juneau and his Greek Yogurt

“We accomplished a lot in Greece; I even milked a sheep, which didn’t work out very well”, explained chef Martin Juneau as he laughed at one of his many experiences in Greece while recounting them it to a small group of local food bloggers. The laughs broke out a few times as the chef went through more of his inspirations back home in Montreal.

As the second public relations campaign for the increasingly popular Oikos Greek Yogurt, Enzyme hand-picked two talented Canadian spokespeople and chefs to represent the brand on a culinary adventure in the land of Greek honey, and tzatziki: Anthony Sedlak, the host of The Main and Family Cookoff on Food Network Canada, and of course, Martin Juneau, the 2011 Golden Plate winner and the host of Et que ça saute! on V télé.

For one week, they lived a true gastronomic experience in the company of the ambassador of Greek culinary culture and author, Diane Kochilas. The very popular blogger, Marie-Julie Gagnon, also tagged along  and expressed her adventures through blog posts, tweets, and pictures on Danone Canada’s Facebook page. The conversation denoted by the hashtag #oikosgrece engaged many followers in Montreal, allowing them to experience this wonderful trip every step of the way.

Back home in Montreal, Martin Juneau welcomed journalists and bloggers to his new restaurant Pastaga while feeding them dishes inspired by his recent expedition and enthusiastically sharing his love for Greek yogurt. After many tweets, pictures, and great discussions, a lovely evening came to an end. The guests walked away with bellies full of Oikos and plenty of material for their blogs. OPA!

Danone has been a proud client of Enzyme for the previous seven years.
